Increase blog traffic using IFTTT

Increase blog traffic and get your site noticed today by using a website called ifttt.com and get some great backlinks for your WordPress blog. Ifttt.com is a website that is FREE and you can use it to create bookmarks automatically and even build link wheels (although I will not cover that option here). IFTTT stands for “If This Then That” and what it does is it links certain actions from your blog to bookmark sites or actions that give you additional backlinks to your blog posts. But you can also link your published videos on YouTube and Vimeo to IFTTT and have the website automate certain actions for you.

IFTTT is getting more and more popular because it is a real set and forget website that helps increasing your blog traffic without you even noticing it. You can have your blog posts published to websites like Zootool, Diigo, Twitter, Facebook, Blogger, Delicious, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Flickr, etc., etc. You can do the same for every website and publish it on WordPress, so it works both ways. Indeed a great tool to increase blog traffic. Below you see two what they call recipes, where a blog post from WordPress gets published automatically to LinkedIn and to a Facebook page. But as I mentioned, to increase blog traffic you can use many, many reciped on IFTTT.

Increase blog traffic with IFTTTI also made a very short video where I show you a part of the website of IFTTT and you can watch it below. If you click the orange button below the video, you will be taken to the website and if you really grasp what the site does, you can increase your blog traffic over time. You will have some direct traffic (especially if you use WordPress to Twitter) but it is a long term strategy to increase blog traffic, not a short term strat.
